We are committed to ensuring that service users, carers and local communities are actively involved in making decisions which influence the development and delivery of our services across the Trust.
This is achieved by a number of activities including:
- User Forums which are jointly organised with local user support groups
- Involving service users and carers in a wide range of planning activities including the development of new facilities
- Introduction of User Involvement Policy to ensure good practice in engaging the views of service users
- Involving service users in recruitment of Trust staff
- Development of a Carers' Strategy which sets out core standards carers can expect from the Trust
Local Involvement Networks (LINks) offer patients and the public a chance to shape and influence how local health and social care services are delivered. It is an independent network run by local people and made up of individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations.
