Equalities in Mental Health

The London Mental Health Carers’ Network brings together anyone caring for a person affected by mental ill health and mental health professionals working with carers and families in London to share information, ideas and good practice

Aim of this event:

  • To focus on the equalities issues which impact on London’s mental health service users, their families, friends and carers.
  • To  identify practicalities to tackle inequality and root out discrimination
  • Workshop session to identify key equalities issues for carers, and how to address them

Our speaker, Melba Wilson is one of the UK’s leading experts on equalities and discrimination in mental health, with a wealth of practical experience of the voluntary and statutory sectors.  We look forward to a stimulating debate. 

Who should attend? Carers, service users,  mental health professionals working with carers and families, carer representatives on LITs/Mental Health Partnerships,  LINKs, Foundation Trusts, user-carer forums.  There are 40 places at this event.
